Our Story

The Story of Attitude

Attitude Theatre was launched in 2018 by Tony Cain as Artistic Director. December 2018 opened with a production of Shakespeare’s Will by Vern Thiessen, with Rosemary Jeffery playing Ann Hathaway, directed by the founding members Tony CaIn and Michael Gosselin. In 2019 Brilliant Traces by Cindy Lou Johnson with Ursula Szkolak and Brian Quakenbush in the lead roles, directed by Tony Cain.

Attitude Theatre produced the docudrama Until the Flood by Dael Orlandersmith with Langham Court Theatre and Bema Productions. Directed by Tony Cain and Rosemary Jeffery. 2021 was an expansion year for the company and Attitude Theatre developed into a society with Tony Cain continuing as Artistic Director. In 2022 Attitude produced The Duck Variations by David Mamet and Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar and Grill by
Lanie Robertson.

In 2023 the company presented Talking Heads by Alan Bennett, directed by Tony Cain and The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy, directed by Kevin Stinson.

In 2024 Attitude presented
Switzerland
by Joanna Murray-Smith, directed by Jason Vikse.

In 2025 the company produced Frank and Percy by Ben Weatherhill, directed by Tony Cain.

Current board members of the society are Tony Cain as Artistic Director, Kevin Stinson as Technical Director, and Gloria Snider as Secretary.
